Advisory Committee on Managed Health Care

The purpose of the Advisory Committee on Managed Health Care is to assist and advise the director in the implementation of the director's duties under the Knox-Keene Act and to make recommendations that it deems beneficial and appropriate as to how the Department of Managed Health Care may best serve the people of the state.

Membership

The Committee is composed of 22 members:

  • The Director
  • 11 members Appointed by the Governor
  • 10 Public Members
    Four of whom shall be appointed by the Governor.
    Three each by the Speaker of the Assembly and the Senate Committee on Rules.

All Committee meetings are open to the public. It is not necessary for the public to confirm they will be attending the meeting.

Request for Information
Complete transcripts of Advisory Committee on Managed Health Care meetings, where available, may be obtained upon written request and in one of three forms below:

  • Paper (a flat fee of $30.00 per transcript)
  • Electronic (will be e-mailed free of charge)
  • Cassette Tapes (a flat fee of $5.00 per proceeding)
